About 75–80% of the stomach is removed by keyhole surgery, leaving a narrow "sleeve". You feel full sooner, and the hormone that drives hunger drops too. It is the most performed weight-loss operation in Europe.

The surgeon makes the final decision after reviewing your questionnaire and seeing you in person.
What actually happens, in plain words.
Five small incisions in the abdomen. A camera and thin instruments are used instead of one large cut.
About 75–80% of the stomach is removed, leaving a tube-shaped sleeve roughly the size of a banana.
The removed part produces most of ghrelin, the hunger hormone, so appetite drops as well as capacity.
Food follows its normal route through the intestine, which keeps absorption of nutrients closer to normal.
A typical 7-day trip. Your coordinator confirms your exact schedule.
We meet you at the airport and drive you to the hospital or your hotel. Your coordinator checks in with you that evening.
Blood tests, surgeon and anaesthetist consultations, then surgery. It is done by keyhole surgery under general anaesthesia.
3–4 nights on the ward. You are walking the same day, and the team checks you are drinking well and pain is under control.
Discharge with your written diet plan and medication. A calm day at the hotel in Jūrmala, by the sea.
Transfer to the airport. Your 12 months of remote check-ins start now.
Your dietitian gives you a written plan for every phase.
A low-calorie pre-op diet set by your dietitian. It shrinks the liver and makes surgery safer.
Water, broths and protein shakes in small sips throughout the day.
Puréed food, then soft food such as eggs, fish and cottage cheese. Protein first.
Regular healthy food in small portions, plus daily vitamins. Remote check-ins for 12 months.
Weight-related conditions such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and sleep apnoea often improve or resolve as the weight comes off.
Every medical procedure has risks. Here they are, without the small print.
The sleeve is permanent: the removed part of the stomach cannot be put back. All risks are explained by the surgeon before you give consent.
€5,490 from, with no hidden fees. You pay a €500 deposit to secure your date and the rest in Latvia when you sign your treatment agreement.
Not included: flights, personal spending and long-term vitamin supplements.

“My new life began when we arrived in Riga. We were met at the airport and driven to the hotel, and the many tests at the hospital were done so impressively that I was no longer nervous. I was followed closely by professional doctors and nurses, and my husband could stay with me at the hospital. After 2 weeks I have lost 9.9 kg! I can only recommend others to travel here. Thank you so much!”
